CSMVPS.com (Beta) Site Launched
Rich Mercer (a Community Server MVP) was kind enough to register and donate CSMVPS.com to the CS MVP group, so sure enough we’re getting a site set up where you can “get to know” your CS MVPs. It’s still very much in the inception phase, but for now we’ve at least got all of the MVP blogs mirrored for easy one stop shopping to catch up on what we’ve been writing about. It’s worth mentioning that this will not be a strictly CS related site, rather a place where we can collaborate on our CS ideas, and also provide an outlet to the community as to exactly what’s going on with CS development in general, as well as just to let everyone know what we’re up to (if you’re interested). Thanks again to Telligent for the opportunity to participate in this program, it will definitely benefit the CS community as a whole!

Round And Round We Go
So I’m finally starting to get packed up for what is shaping up to be the biggest move I’ve ever made: I’m leaving uptown Charlotte and heading back out to the neighborhood I grew up in (which is also the same neighborhood where my first "real" apartment was located...things have a funny way of coming full circle, it was 2 blocks from that house). Uptown has been amazing...I moved just over 5 years ago when there was virtually nothing downtown aside from a few clubs and restaurants. Charlotte is (well, was) the epitome of a Southern US city...everyone lives out in the 'burbs and commutes downtown to work. A lot has changed, more on that later. My first apartment uptown was a tiny shoebox located in the heart of the historic district. I got pretty lucky as it was quite cheap and was located right across the street from a local watering hole. It was the ultimate bachelor pad. I was there for about 2 years, and then moved just a little over a block away to one of the oldest still standing...

My Exchange Server Has Been Hijacked
[update] False alarm. The spams are indeed originating from my hoster and not my local Exchange server. I've contacted them and we're working to resolve the issue. [/update] I have received over 1500 NDR (non-delivery report) spams today through my local exchange server. They where all sent through <randomName>@jaysonknight.com. I of course didn’t go through all of them, but it appears that some of the addresses were actually valid…I saw at least a couple of OOF (out of facility) responses, and one of them had other contact email addresses/phone numbers/etc. I am not an Exchange expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I know enough to have disabled relaying. But I don’t think that’s the issue. Someone is spoofing @jaysonknight.com emails, and all the bounces are coming back to my local domain…which is even stranger because my @jaysonknight.com MX record shouldn’t even be pointing to my home IP (though I’ll have to double check that)…it points to my hosting server. For the time...

Harriet The Tortoise Dead At 176
TLC was lucky enough to visit Harriet the tortoise during her trip to Australia last year. Unfortunately, Harriet died earlier today at the ripe old age of 176. The picture on the left is an actual photo snapped by TLC during her trip.

Aaron Spelling -- Dead at 83
I don’t want to admit it, but I was a huge Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place fan back in the day. The man behind those dramas is dead at age 83. RIP.

Agassi To Retire
From SI.com ( full article here ): WIMBLEDON, England (AP) -- Andre Agassi's voice wavered and his eyes welled up. After years of dealing with injuries, after months of contemplation, he finally spoke the words he knew he had to, at the place he knew he had to. Turning what was expected to be a routine pre-Wimbledon news conference into something significant, Agassi announced Saturday he will retire after this year's U.S. Open, leaving tennis after two decades during which he collected a career Grand Slam and morphed from an "Image Is Everything" youngster to elder statesman. You will be missed Andre.

CSBlogs.com "Soft" Launch
In my spare time I’ve been putting together a new Community Server site that will offer a one stop shop for CS related blogs by aggregating them all into one location, as well as provide a location for anyone who wants to blog about CS or just community related stuff in general but doesn’t necessarily want to set up their own site to do so. It utilizes the new Blog Mirroring capability in CS2.1 extensively to aggregate the feeds. A demo version is located here . Presently there are 3 tabs related to CS blogs: Bloggers which will ultimately just display blogs from CSBlogs.com (it aggregates all mirrors for now), Feeds which mirrors all the existing CS bloggers who have a Community Server category set up on their blog (I have 20 blogs mirrored presently…that tag cloud is pure gold), and Tips and Tricks that mirrors anyone running a CS Tips category on their site. Comments are disabled on mirrored blogs meaning you have to go to the original post to comment…I think...

Huge News For Community Server
Telligent has been landing some pretty large contracts lately…first MSNBC announces that all future blogs on their site will be based on CS (the first one is located here ), and today’s CS Daily News gives the official nod that dev.live.com is also running off a custom CS installation. That is huge news for CS…way to go Telligent!

Ten Year High School Reunion
So I just got an eVite to my 10 year high school reunion (wow, has it been that long?) and am wondering if I actually want to go or not. I’ll be honest, I only talk to 2 people that I went to high school with (and my graduating class was around 300 or so) so I don’t really have much of a vested interest in going other than to show everyone that A) I’m not a freak anymore (well, not visibly at least…when I was in high school I had hair down to my shoulders (which was usually dyed several different colors) and wore some pretty outlandish outfits. I once got thrown out of school (well, just for the day) for wearing a kilt (I have some Scottish in my family, so I went and found our Tartan and purchased a kilt woven in that pattern) which was ridiculous IMO) and B) that I actually ended up doing something with my life other than skipping school and pissing my teachers off on a regular basis. The irony is that I was in all AP classes throughout my entire high school career...
